
Lakeland School System values interscholastic athletic events and welcomes the community to our campuses. It is our highest priority to provide a safe and secure environment. Starting August 1, 2025, Lakeland School System will implement a new clear bag procedure for the following ticketed events:

Preseason, postseason, and special events for the sports listed above
Permitted bags and items:
- Clear tote bags (plastic, vinyl, or PVC), not exceeding 12" x 6" x 12". Oversized clear tote bags may be prohibited.
- One-gallon clear, plastic freezer bags (e.g., Ziploc).
- Clear bags must not be tinted or have graphics that obstruct visibility.
- Approved family care items (diapers, formula, etc.) must be included in the clear plastic bag.
- Attendees may use a small, non-clear "clutch" purse, no larger than 4.5" x 6.5".
- All bags are subject to search.
Prohibited items include, but are not limited to:
- Purses, fanny packs, backpacks, duffel bags, coolers, briefcases, diaper bags, cinch bags, luggage, and computer bags.
Exceptions:
- Students participating in the event (athletes, cheerleaders, musicians, etc.), officials/referees, and Lakeland School System employees or employees from visiting schools with valid identification may bring necessary bags.
- Media outlets with valid credentials.
- Bags necessary for approved medical equipment are permitted.
- Administrative officials may prohibit other items for other safety-related reasons.
