LPS Clear Bag Procedure Banner

Lakeland School System values interscholastic athletic events and welcomes the community to our campuses. It is our highest priority to provide a safe and secure environment. Starting August 1, 2025, Lakeland School System will implement a new clear bag procedure for the following ticketed events:

  • Lakeland Preparatory School High School Football

  • Lakeland Preparatory School High School Basketball (Boys and Girls)

  • Preseason, postseason, and special events for the sports listed above

Permitted bags and items:

  • Clear tote bags (plastic, vinyl, or PVC), not exceeding 12" x 6" x 12". Oversized clear tote bags may be prohibited.
  • One-gallon clear, plastic freezer bags (e.g., Ziploc).
  • Clear bags must not be tinted or have graphics that obstruct visibility.
  • Approved family care items (diapers, formula, etc.) must be included in the clear plastic bag.
  • Attendees may use a small, non-clear "clutch" purse, no larger than 4.5" x 6.5".
  • All bags are subject to search.

Prohibited items include, but are not limited to:

  • Purses, fanny packs, backpacks, duffel bags, coolers, briefcases, diaper bags, cinch bags, luggage, and computer bags.

Exceptions:

  • Students participating in the event (athletes, cheerleaders, musicians, etc.), officials/referees, and Lakeland School System employees or employees from visiting schools with valid identification may bring necessary bags.
  • Media outlets with valid credentials.
  • Bags necessary for approved medical equipment are permitted.
  • Administrative officials may prohibit other items for other safety-related reasons.
